Hi all Virtual Choral Leaders’ Festival attendees!
You may recognise me from previous abcd conventions. I compose mainly sacred choral music. You can find out more about me and my music by going to my website peterburtonmusic.com. You can also check out all my music on my YouTube channel.
It has been a difficult year for all in the choral world. However, there have been some good moments. The promotion of my CD “The Wondrous Cross” was one. This is twelve new choral works with traditional hymn texts. Check the website for more details.
I have also been developing a selection of vocal music under the theme “Nature in Song”. Nature has been so important to us during this difficult season so this was the catalyst for working on this selection. So far I have seven pieces for various vocal forces, ranging from solo voice to TTBB and SATB. I include one below for upper voices called “Hear the Cry of the Sea”.
