Welcome!

After two years of online Festivals and problems with train strikes, we’re delighted to be back with a live Convention! Convention takes place in central York, in York St John Creative Centre, a brand new, award-winning building built to house music, drama and other creative courses at the university. With a central auditorium seating 170, purpose-built creative break-out spaces and a surrounding atrium to mingle and browse exhibition stands, it’s the ideal venue for our return Convention.

The Centre is just outside the ancient city walls, within sight of York Minster, less than a mile from the railway station and within walking distance of a range of hotels and guest houses.

Post-Convention resources

Session recordings now available to view!

We recorded select sessions during the weekend and they’re now available for delegates to view. So if you had trouble deciding which session to go to, or would like another look at one you attended, take a look at what’s available here.

Session handouts and resources

Many of the session presentations, along with extra resources, are available here. Thanks to our presenters, who have kindly made their presentations available and prepared extra material too.

Repertoire discovery resources

Taking the best out of lockdown, this year’s repertoire is all available online for you to view at leisure, as well as, of course, our live repertoire discovery sessions. We hope you’ll enjoy browsing through and that you’ll find plenty to programme for your singers, whatever age or type of group they are. There are pages of music for adult voice, sacred and secular, for Young Voices, from our publishers and choral partners, and there are also pages of repertoire for all from our member composers – lots to explore!

Please note that all the scores are provided for perusal only; to buy scores please either get in touch with the publisher (click on the logo to reach their website or use the contact details given) or use your regular online retailer. If you’re an abcd member, you can claim discounts from Hal Leonard on their musicroom.com site – see the members’ area of our website for full details.
